What is it about the subways that makes people commission massive reports to announce the obvious? Just a few months back, we were told the stations were in terrible condition. The ear-shattering “Duh” was probably heard several states away.

The latest example: City Councilman Daniel R. Garodnick would like to announce that the 4/5/6 subway line is often crowded during rush hour. And in related news, I’d like to announce (without having commissioned a doubtless time consuming and not very cost-effective report) that water is wet.
