The sounds you have just heard are the sounds of someone with theater tickets to see Stoppard’s Rock N Roll on Nov 27th. Will it happen? Won’t it happen? Who knows?
The two sides have broken off talks again - neither side will budge - and all the shows with union contracts have officially been canceled through the 25th. What are the odds, do you think, that everyone will return to the table stuffed with Turkey and holiday cheer on the 26th and works it all out in time for Tuesday’s peformances?
I’m trying to be adult about it. I’m sure everyone has very good points to make on both sides but - but - damn it, if I do not get to see Rufus Sewall up close and in person, I shall be very cross indeed. What about my theatergoing needs? Will no one think of the audience?
